Born in Brooklyn at the end of the Second World War, acoustic Fingerstyle guitarist Stefan Grossman performed at Berkeley coffeehouses as Kid Future, rehearsed with Janis Joplin and pioneered the production of instructional guitar LPs and books. Travelling through Europe in the 60s and 70s, Stefan studied with Son House, Bert Jansch and Eric Clapton, founded Kicking Mule records and discovered and documented recordings and concert footage of blues greats.
