The institute welcomed the big, blowzy, beautiful world of Orchestre Ruffanti to the latest instalment of ‘The Big Boulder Rolls On’. Stars of the show at last year too, the eleven-piece orchestre brought a touch of kitsch class to the stage, packing out the institute and turning it into a dancing, joyful party. Classic hit, Tainted Love, was transformed into a crazy, ripped-up rumba while 60s kids show theme song, White Horses, was sprinkled with tarnished glitter o he cheers of all. The party staggered to halt only to be revived for a rousing encore of Edith Piaf’s La Vie En Rose before the crowd reluctantly dispersed, laughing and waving, into the night.
